Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common disorder that affects the large intestine. 4) Elimination Diet

In this type of diet plan, certain types of food products are eliminated from diet on a temporary basis, including Chocolates and nuts.

5) Low Fat Diet

Dairy products are consumed in low amounts as they contain less fiber content.

6) Low FODMAP Diet

Carbohydrates are complex food particles, which are hard to digest. Consumption of such food is lowered in the diet.

What foods can you eat in an IBS Diet?

  • Vegetables:

Pumpkin, bottle gourd, ridge gourd, spinach, carrots.

  • Fruits:

Pomegranate (without seeds).

  • Pulses:

Green gram, orange lentils.

  • Spices:

Fennel, cumin. Ginger (All in less quantity).

  • Other Food Items:

Khichdi, Coconut water, pulao.

  • Insoluble fiber

  • Fried fruits
  • Bean and legumes

  • Sugar-free sweeteners

  • Citrus fruits, pineapple, apple, banana, and berries
  • Cauliflower, broccoli, tomato, brinjal, and ladyfinger.
