Food sensitivities are increasingly common in the USA, but there is a real lack of knowledge on how to deal with them. In fact, Healthline estimate that there are between 2-20% of people worldwide actually suffer from food sensitivity. But the good news is that an elimination diet can help. They are the gold standard for dealing with your sensitivities and allergies. But do you know what they are? Well, they do what they say on the tin. You eliminate foods from your diet and eventually get rid of your symptoms. Getting rid of your symptoms is the most important things.
But what is an elimination diet?
An elimination diet involves removing foods from your diet that Allergy Test has identified as a food sensitivity or food intolerance. After a period of roughly 28 days, which we help you through, you can start reintroducing the foods at a later date. When you see your symptoms start to slow down, you know that your Allergy Test elimination diet is working. It works especially well for those who are suffering from the leaky gut syndrome, or have a sensitive gut.
How does it help?
Well, you will probably be doing an elimination diet because of Allergy Test being able to identify your food sensitivities. There are many types of symptoms that an elimination diet can help you get rid of, as long as you have identified the right foods. Alleviate food sensitivity symptoms like bloating, gas, nausea, and constipation, as well as diarrhea. So, once you have been able to identify food which your body cannot tolerate, you can then remove it from your diet.
In short, an elimination diet is a short-term, quick-fix diet which helps you to alleviate certain symptoms which are being caused by a food sensitivity. With an intolerance or allergy test, you can learn which foods you need to exclude.
The Reintroduction Phase
With the reintroduction phase, you can slowly bring back eliminated foods into your diet. Each food group should be introduced individually whilst you are looking for the symptoms to return. If the symptoms like bloating, fatigue and diarrhea do not reappear then you can reintroduce these foods into your diet. The entire process of an elimination diet, after the first 28 days has passed, will take 6 weeks to complete. Before making any drastic changes, we do recommend you consult a health professional to ensure that you are getting the right vitamins and minerals for your diet.
