Struggling to cope with some embarrassing symptoms which you may be experiencing because of lactose intolerance? Allergy testing or intolerance tests could be what you need to avoid these symptoms. But do you know what you are meant to be looking out for? If you’re not sure, check out the rest of this article. Here are five signs and symptoms, starting with a bloated stomach which you NEED to be careful about:
1) A bloated stomach
Many people think that lactose is everywhere and if they are suffering from lactose intolerance then they need to avoid everything. This is in fact, not the case at all. Lactose is a type of sugar which is naturally found in milk (that is true) but there are lactose alternatives. If you find these alternatives then you will be able to avoid a bloated stomach, a common symptom of lactose intolerance. Don’t wake up every morning feeling rough and bloated because of food intolerance, as many grocery stores do some great alternatives to lactose produce.
If your body is unable to produce lactose, it can result in acids and gases leading to unfortunate symptoms. Stop the sensation of a bloated stomach by identifying your potential food intolerances or allergies with our tests today. Please note: a bloated stomach is a common symptom of food intolerance and should not be considered as the ultimate sign of lactose intolerance.
2) Diarrhea
Diarrhea. It’s not very nice, but it is a common symptom of a food intolerance, particularly lactose intolerance. Work out with allergy testing or intolerance testing why you are experiencing diarrhea after eating certain foods. Similar to a bloated stomach, diarrhea could be caused by many foods, so it is important you find out which food is causing so you can remove it from your diet. Lactose intolerance causes an increase in both the frequency and volume of your stool. Can an allergy or intolerance test help? It would be a start.
3) Fatigue
Fatigue. Find someone who claims not to have suffered from fatigue at some point in their life! It’s not nice and many people find themselves feeling stressed and lethargic due to this symptom. Again, similar to a bloated stomach and diarrhea, fatigue is not necessarily the cause of lactose intolerance, but could be a cause of any food intolerance. If you are feeling tired, try allergy testing or intolerance testing to see which food be the cause of your symptoms.
4) Skin Rash
We’ve all been there. A rash can crop up out of nowhere and we have no idea why. It is often a symptom of a food allergy, which can be very dangerous. If you think you are suffering from lactose intolerance but actually keep coming up in a skin rash, then it could due to a milk allergy. A milk allergy and lactose intolerance are not related, this is important to note, so if your allergy testing has revealed that you may have a milk allergy, then it does not necessarily mean that you are lactose intolerant.
5) Constipation
The opposite of diarrhea. Constipation can also be caused by a food intolerance, which is very frustrating for some. If you are consuming milk with your cereal as part of your breakfast, or adding it in any part of your meal and then suffering from constipation, then there is a chance that you may be suffering from lactose intolerance or some other sort of food sensitivity. Find out which items could potentially be affecting your life with allergy testing or an intolerance test.
