Allergies: Answering 5 most common questions | Allergy Test

At Allergy Test, we are here to help. We love helping our customers and providing them with the advice they need. Of course, it can be scary learning you have a food sensitivity or a food allergy, but there are always ways to manage it. What we do emphasize at Allergy Test is that you need to learn if you have a sensitivity or an allergy. Have a look below at some of our commonly asked questions and how we answer them. ?

1) How does our test compare to the blood test?

Well, we can safely say that our tests are a lot cheaper than a blood test and are less invasive which is always a good thing! Another aspect is that when it comes to blood testing, your sensitivities and allergies can be affected by what you eat, but with hair, the information is stored for a lot longer. So, if you are considering identifying your sensitivities, then have a look here!

2) What is included in the test?

You will receive a comprehensive report detailing all of the items which were tested. The report will also indicate which items have shown an intolerance of 85% and over! This is because we have found 85% to be the point at which symptoms begin to develop from a sensitivity. Want to learn more about sensitivities? Click here.

3) What is the difference between an Allergy/Sensitivity/Intolerance?

This is a common and understandable question. Allergies are generally hereditary, last for a lifetime and in some cases can be life-threatening. At Allergy Test, we test for sensitivities and intolerances, which is when the body has developed an inability to digest an item properly, whether this is a food intolerance or an environmental factor.

4) Can I still consume my favorite foods like Hamburgers?

Of course, if your report does not indicate that you have an intolerance or sensitivity to any ingredients in a Hamburger then please feel free to continue to eat your favorites. Remember, even if it is highlighted that you have a sensitivity to an ingredient if you remove this food from your diet for 6-8 weeks, then you can eventually reintroduce the food and start eating it again, in moderation of course.
